Cosmetology Course: 1000-Hour Curriculum

Our Cosmetology Course is a 1000-hour training program designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in hair, skin, and nail care. This curriculum combines theory and hands-on practice, ensuring graduates have the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the beauty industry. Our program focuses on haircutting, coloring, styling, skincare, nail care, and salon business management.



The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) oversees this program, maintaining the highest standards in cosmetology education. Graduates will be well-equipped to pass the Texas State Board examinations and obtain their cosmetology license.

Examinations

To become a licensed cosmetologist in Texas, students must pass both a written and a practical exam.

Written Exam

After completing 900 of the 1,000 required hours, the school will notify TDLR of your eligibility to take the written exam. Once approved, PSI will send an email with scheduling instructions.

Practical Exam

Once all 1,000 required hours are completed, you will be eligible to take the practical exam.
